The attached review of the Edwardian novel, The Inside of the Cup by Winston Churchill (the other one) was so fraught with questions concerning the revolt of the Suffragettes and their disillusion with Christianity that the review was printed on the “Religion Page” of The Literary Digest:

“It is still a deeply rooted masculine belief that that religion is more of a woman’s affair than a man’s, an ornament and dignity to the sex, an occupation to diversify her occupation.”
