Looking at wartime Canada, we were surprised to find that the people least outraged by the Nazi aggression in Europe were not the English-speaking Canadians, but the French-speaking Canadians. So vociferous was their anti-conscription movement that it caught the attention of those slackers in the editorial offices down South at Newsweek and Pathfinder  Magazines. 

Their father’s resisted the draft some twenty years earlier…
