Posted below is a Vanity Fair article that appeared shortly before the release of the Charlie Chaplin movie The Kid; and in order to add further excitement, Chaplin wrote a few “remarks on the discovery of child-actor Jackie Coogan, and the picture built around him”. Coogan would be known to later generations as “Uncle Fester” on The Adams Family (1964 -1966).
