Seeing that 2013 marks the 150 anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, it is fitting that we remember an important reunion that took place during the fiftieth Gettysburg reunion one hundred years ago – when a
surviving member of Virginia’s Fifty-Sixth Regiment encountered the Federal soldier who had saved his life at the Bloody Angle.
