Five Escaped Nazi
P.O.W.s who were
Never Re-Captured

• Collier's Magazine, 1953 •

During the course of the Second World War, as many as 430,000 German and Italian P.O.W.s were incarcerated in the United States; of this number – 2,803 escaped and were recaptured. This column pertains to the five who were never found. A few minutes of internet research revealed that every single one of them remained in the U.S. where they held jobs, paid taxes and raised families well into their golden years.

WAY TO GO, FBI!
