When the smoke cleared and all the bodies were buried at war’s end it was believed that the “Righteous Gentiles and Holocaust Rescuers” in Germany only numbered 2,000; given the fact the number of church attendees in that nation numbered in the millions – 2,000 really doesn’t seem like very many.
