Women's Suffrage
in 1907

This article refers to a report made by journalist and suffragist Ida Husted Harper (1851 – 1931), regarding the status of the suffrage movement as it could be found throughout Western civilization in 1907. She pointed out a number of interesting and seldom remembered facts concerning the bullying ways of those who wished to hamper the advancement of women’s suffrage. The report stated

“that the attainment of woman suffrage is more difficult in the United States than in almost any other country…”
