Hitler's Final Days:
Eyewitnesses Remember
the Berlin Bunker

World War II was only seconds away from reaching it’s bloody end when Yank Magazine correspondent Harry Sions found himself in the company of sixteen captured Nazi big-wigs as they recalled the events of Hitler’s final year. Much was said regarding the failed assassination attempt (project Valkyrie), some of the more interesting chat referred to the closing days in the bunker with Bormann, Keitel and Jodl:

“After Hitler heard the complete military report he seemed to be lost in thought for a moment…He kept repeating ‘I shall stay here until the end,’…Up to that time Hitler had been determined to fight on in hope of a deadlock, in the hope there might be a split among the Allies.”

Those who were in the bunker at the end have all stated that following Hitler’s suicide, his remains were carried outside by his footman where it was burned with gasoline, until only a fine dust was left. In 2009 scientists went to Russia to examine these ashes: they concluded that the ash could only have been that of a middle-aged woman.
