With an eye for creating a larger military in the near future, the three prominent European dictators of 1937 all requested of their respective citizenry that they start popping out more and more babies:

"To combat the current population [stagnation], the Fascist Grand Council last week approved a sweeping seven-point program to increase Italy's 'military power' and provide 'a secure future for the empire'".
