In this article, retired U.S. Major General Stephen O. Fuqua (1874 - 1943)
presented a thoughtful analysis of the opening days of the Soviet invasion of Finland. He examined each of the three methods of attack (land, air and sea) with an eye as to what each thrust intended to accomplish and strengths and weaknesses of the Finnish defense.
