Pictured above is an historic reënactment of the bitter end that came to a certain Dr. Wertt, of Hamburg, Germany in 1522. The Sixteenth Century was a time when midwives colluded with the church in order to keep the study of obstetrics and gynecology free of males - Wertt's death at the stake was intended to serve as a warning to all other aspiring gynecologists and obstetricians of the male persuasion.
