We like to think that if the Christians who call themselves "Christian Nationalists" today were aware of what that term meant decades ago, they would immediately insist that the name be changed. The Christian Nationalism discussed in the article posted on the right was the brainchild of Gerald L.K. Smith (1898 – 1976), a hate-filled man, an alleged minister of the Gospel, who denied the Jewishness of Christ and all His lessons. He willingly cavorted with the Bund, Father Coughlin,
America First, William Dudley Pelley, Huey Long and assorted other haters of his time.
The profile was written by Thorp McClusky (1906 – 1975), an American author who, in the fullness of time, would be known widely for his writings in the Horror and Science Fiction genres.
