Enemies of Cubism

This essay is a first-class piece of anti-modernist criticism:

"The intellectual degeneracy of the modernistic movement of to-day can easily be traced back to the moral degeneracy of the Second Empire, created by the mephistophic traitor and despot Napoleon III..."

The American painter John Sloan was also estranged from the Cubists and in 1913 he satirized the movement with a few cartoons.
