One of England's disillusioned post-war writers, Robert Wilson Lynd (1879 - 1949), gave an angry review of Rudyard Kipling's (1865 - 1936) work, finding him to be too much the Victorian imperialist (by 1919 Kipling, too, was quite disillusioned).
